We were in Phoenix for a family reunion with my two brothers and me. Since we all live in different parts of the country, it was a rare chance for us to all be together. When we arrived at 3:48 pm to check-in at the Home 2 Suites, I tried to check in for the two rooms I had booked for one of my brothers and me. My other brother made his own reservation and prepaid. I was told that the hotel had overbooked and while they checked in my brother who had prepayed, the two of us I booked would have to go to another hotel a 20 minute walk away. I agreed but asked that my prepaying brother be allowed to checkout and go with us so we could all be together. They said he couldn’t get his money back to accompany us to the other hotel.
It was so disappointing to the 3 of us, but as much as we tried to have them accommodate all 3 of us we were refused. We will never stay in Home 2 Suites again.
