"We stayed in the loft room and it was clean and comfortable. Being a loft room, it IS up stairs, so keep that in mind. Three queen beds, and two small couches that appeared to be able to fold down into a small bed. It had a kitchen: sink, fridge, stove / oven, and a nice bathroom with a roomy shower (not a tub). A sliding glass door and a rather large step up leads out onto a sizable wraparound deck that is also available to other rooms on the second floor. A swing is available on one side of the deck. The Pilot is right across the street (market and gas station). I was very happy with the accommodations."
"Union Creek Resort is a collection of rustic cabins and houses in the woods near a creek, great hiking trails and waterfalls. We stayed there after our day at Crater Lake. We arrived late in the evening but called ahead to let them know and they told us where we would find our check-in information and keys. Sadly, we were only able to spend one night there, but the cabins brought back wonderful childhood memories of Northwoods resorts. Our daughter’s family stayed in one of the cabins, which was cool but a little tight for 4 people. My husband, sister, daughter and I, stayed in one of the premium houses because 3 of us are of an age where we need 2 bathrooms. The house looked to be a 1960s-style ranch. It was very simple, but spacious and comfortable. The electrical outlets in our house were loose and our plugs tended to fall out. I had to plug our phones into the outlet on the base of a table lamp.
We had a full kitchen, but didn’t plan to cook, so we ate breakfast at Beckie’s Café at the resort. The menu was limited, but the food was good and reasonably priced. Our server was efficient and very pleasant. I had hoped for a piece of their famous pie, but I’m a vegetarian and the pies are made with beef and pork tallow, so … bummer.
If you enjoy rustic surroundings in the midst of beautiful woods, listening to the sounds of birds and water as it wends its way through a rocky creek bed, I heartily recommend Union Creek Resort."
"Property was clean and extremely nice. Host had air fryer, waffle maker, pressure cooker and crock pot if needed. Had microwave popcorns and waffle mix as well as coffee, tea, hot cocoa available. Place was really nice and would highly recommend."
