This is a lovely hotel on the outskirts of Mintlaw. As an old house, it has character. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The meals are excellent. This was our second visit and we will definitely return.

Stayed here before so i like it enough to come back however found the room a bit cjilly and couldn't work out to get heating on. Next morning staff member showed me how so not a big issue. Its a really nice old building.

Little Slice of Heaven

Love Saplinbrae and this was my fifth visit, and my wifes first. Thankfully she loved it as much as i do. Lovely room, comfy bed, great shower, very peaceful and the food is always outstanding but this was the best yet! Amazing staff as well.

Staff are always excellent and very friendly. Breakfast quality and little extra touches in the room are really appreciated too. Haddock, black pudding and poached eggs is fantastic.

Amazing nights stay

The great thing about this hotel is it is on the Formartine Buchan Way, so you can cycle there, and while you’re there, easily. Very good food for dinner, and beautiful surroundings also

We booked this amazing stay 10min before Arrival - not knowing anything about this place… and it was the best stay we had on our Scotland road trip this year. Charming location, very helpful staff, nice clean room. Superb breakfast. For sure we are gonna stay here again in our next Scotland trip.
