The beaches are fabulous. The zoo is accessible via ferry across the Swan River and a short walk to the zoo. It reminded me of San Diego, CA -- great Mediterranean climate -- lots of winery and river and ocean tours available.

Perth is the perfect size imo. Not too big and with plently to do and visit. Fremantle has a kind of San Franciscan vibe to it and Perth has a great music and house music scene to explore.

Perth at night was all lite up with Christmas lights and decorations it was lovely
"Check in was very slow , 1 person only checking in a busy time. Room was great for what we needed, cleaners could do with dusting as our bedside tables and alarm clock were so dusty."
