"The hotel itself was great! The train coming through at all hours of the night multiple times was rough. The train woke us up so many times. The beds were very firm and the pillows were flat. The staff was amazing and helpful. The towels were always fresh when we got back from being out all day. I would come back if the train was not coming through at all hours."

"This establishment was by far one of the nicest places I have ever stayed... It felt more like renting a house than being at a hotel... Mostly because we were the only people there due to bad weather. The property is very remote, with a 15 to 30 minute drive to go to Walmart or dinner. (A lot of places close at 9:00 p.m., so get there early.) The property was very quiet in the morning, which allowed for spending time outside and enjoying nature... Especially from the enclosed deck. "Fantastic chill place to break up a cross-county road trip with kids. We fit in an evening detour to Galveston before heading back to the motel to do laundry while the kids enjoyed the pool. Also conveniently near a supercharger."

"On the one hand, I feel bad, as this property is maintained by what seems to be a small family of perhaps three people. On the other hand, the quality of the property is seriously questionable. The property is older and has been poorly maintained. The television in the room didn't work. The air conditioner leaked all over the floor overnight with condensation. When checking out, I tried to locate a member of staff to alert them to the AC issue, but no one was around, even when I rang the bell...

"No toilet paper in room, I bar of soap. Only one ice maker working. Downstairs coffee maker broken. Overall a typical Motel 6. You get what you pay for."
