This isn’t what most people think of when they think of New Jersey but much of the state is like this. This lake and its little tributaries make for great fall kayaking.

Waterloo Village is a restored 19th-century canal town in Byram Township, Sussex County in northwestern New Jersey, United States. The community was approximately the half-way point in the roughly 102-mile trip along the Morris Canal, which ran from Jersey City to Phillipsburg, New Jersey

Canal life circa 19th century can be found at Waterloo Village in New Jersey USA. Some buildings are still functioning and others are long abandoned, making it the perfect backdrop for the annual geocaching mega event. Beautiful trails, spooky spirits. #greatoutdoors
