"We arrived at Crooked Creek after a long drive from Boise for a one night stay on our way to Mt Rushmore. The drive from the highway to the property is long and I wouldn't want to do it in the dark. I LOVED to property and highly recommend it. I would have liked to spend another day/night just to connect with nature. The cabin was spacious and exceptionally clean. "The Ameristar Black Hawk is a great place to stay whether you plan to gamble or not. The hotel is beautiful. The rooms are clean and staff is friendly. Not sure how they were able to build it in the middle of the mountains. Large parking garage connected to the hotel and multiple restaurants onsite. We stayed one night on our way from Idaho Springs to Estes Park."
