"The Kempinski Hotel was a marvelous choice! The rooms were spacious with outstanding views. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom large, the separate his & her closets made getting settled easy. The property was beautiful & well kept. The views were amazing! The staff couldn't have been more attentive. Shout out to our bartender Mathus who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and special. All of the staff were professional, friendly, spoke good English, and were very helpful. We had a car which made getting around easy but I noticed several guests had taxi or driver pick up for rides to Salzburg. The property was so lovely I would just stay there next time and appreciate the views and trails, spa, etc. Very luxurious. "

"Explorer Hotel Berchtesgaden exceeded our expectations. The rooms -- with all having an amazing view -- provides a very efficient use of space. The breakfast buffet is outstanding -- offering an array of delicious items. And the service staff was top notch. And you can't find a better location to the popular attractions. Bus line 840 and 843 is a quick 10-minute trip from the Berchtesgaden train station. And the boat ride and Jennerbahn are 1 and 2 bus stops respectively. If you are an active person who wants great accommodations and easy access to the attractions of Berchtesgaden National Park, you will be hard pressed to find a better option. "
