"W hi at an incredible surprise when we checked in. So much greater than the pics The History of the place, and all the amenities. The room was spectacular looking over the park and canal. So peaceful. Yet it was so close to everything. This was the crown jewel in our visit to Netherlands. We fell in love with Utrecht. I will recommend Karel-V as top place to stay. The staff were so helpful getting us to the hotel when we got lost. Sent a taxi for us. Thankyou so much for such a memorable time."

"Lovely hotel in quieter part of town but still close to amenities. Great view over road to Town Hall and only short, tree-lined walk to Slot. Staff really friendly and helpful, food in restaurant and for breakfast is good quality and great range of drinks available in the bar. Our only slight criticsm was the noise level in the room at night - we were on the top floor and there is a constant humming of equipment (don't think it was the heating) and the guttering on the roof was quite noisy when it rained. This obviously isn't the fault of the hotel and might not be possible to rectify, although the receptionist did say they would check the drainage on the roof when we mentioned it."

"Clean hotel. They are doing renovations so some areas are very much under repair but my room was nice and new. Has laundry room and ironing boards which is great. No fridge in the single twin room, meant for short business trips stays. Check in was easy and staff is friendly, housekeeping came daily with fresh towels and soaps. Great place to stay for a solo traveler. "
