"The BWP has this weird policy where they claim they dont clean the rooms due to "COVID". Frankly, this is just because they dont want to hire cleaning staff -- ie they are being cheap. For the Plus brand, i dont see how this is a good idea. We had to ask multiple times for basic cleaning of the room, towel replacement, toilet roll replacement, etc. For 7 nights, they never once swept the floor or did a thorough clean of the bathroom. It is not the staff - they said this is BWP POLICY nationally. Ridiculous. Just cheap."

"This place gives off abandoned hotel vibes. The restaurant and bar are been closed for a long time. Yet they sit empty just off the lobby. Pool is open, but I'm not sure I would partake The TV in our room looks like it was bought the yard sale earlier that day. With the remote control that was taped shot with dead batteries in it. The room across the hall looked like the lock had been forcibly removed from the door. There was a hole in bathroom where the wall meets the floor. Not sure what that's a sign of. Spend the extra couple bucks and go up the road to the Hampton Inn"

"Friendly staff. Very clean and welcoming. The pool and hot tub were a nice bonus. Penn Wells is a good value for the money. We would gladly stay there again...."
