"This hotel is amazing. A perfect stay for my time in Bequia. I actually stayed with a friend in one of the bungalows on the property The beds are huge and comfortable. The bathroom is spacious and clean. I like the extra space in the Ocean View Villa to store clothing and a private changing room! The staff is also extremely welcoming and friendly and attentive. The property is gorgeous with the coconut trees. We went during dry season (end of May) when the trees and plants are not as lush so I can imagine hopes beautiful it must be during peak season. The restaurant food was delicious (the best breakfast we had if you’re looking for something traditionally Caribbean is the Fig Tree next door) The hotel is only five minutes walk from Princess Margaret beach and about fifteen minutes or twenty minutes walk from Lower Bay. It is also only an eight minute walk into town where you can buy locally made souvenirs, get fresh fruits like soursop and mangoes, and try out other restaurants. The hotel is also on the boardwalk making it a very very short walk to other restaurants on the boardwalk."
"The stay at gingerbread was overall excellent. The villa is beautiful, the rooms are spacious and stunning, the location is perfect.
The host was pretty responsive at first since our flight was delayed and we missed our ferry — and had to come a day later but once we got there I did not hear from the host again even when I messaged him to ask about activities on the island or with the hotel. He also failed to mention the deadly trees/fruit, manchineel. Apparently all hotels are supposed to let the guests know but we had never heard of it. Yes, we were stupid and ate the fruit not knowing what it was… but when we started feeling light symptoms and asked a local, then went to the hospital, they were shocked that the hotel did not let us know about these trees.
All and all, writing this to warn folks about these trees!! And don’t eat fruit off the ground, kids."
Holiday Inn Express & Suites St. Vincent - Grenadines by IHG
10/10 Excellent
"Lovely new property located in a safe, quiet area. The staff especially Nazinga and Zalisha went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable, informative and enjoyable to the very end. The breakfast was delicious with a variety to choose from everyday. Totally Will recommend this hotel!"
"Everything about Bequia beach was great. The staff are the friendliest and most helpful I’ve encountered. They bend over backwards to help you—I got a horrible sunburn on a boat tour and the kitchen brought me fresh aloe. The food at each of the restaurants is delicious. Unfortunately during our stay the beach had sargassum so wasn’t usable but there are 3 pools on the property and a free shuttle to jacks beach bar. But the most notable is the fact that due to an excessive flight delay we missed the last ferry to Bequia. The hotel and Expedia refunded the night we missed at the property, no questions asked. (We stayed one night at the sister hotel on St Vincent, which was perfect for what we needed.) Despite these bumps with our trip the hotel made up for it. Will definitely return and highly recommend to my friends."
"Amazing stay at this hotel. The staff was so nice and attentive. I had the oceanfront view and it couldn't be better to wake up to the waves and the scenery it offered. Loved it, will def stay again. It's not all inclusive but prices are reasonable. Property kept intact everything was perfect."
"Our stay was absolutely perfect. The room was exactly as shown. The AC was amazing and I actually got cold at one point. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We ate dinner and breakfast at the restaurant and both were great. The pool was sparkling clean and we had it all to ourselves"
