"The place is beautiful, and the owners are very accommodating. They even let us stay in a bigger room, which we really appreciated. Everything was clean, and the lakefront was really nice. The rooms and washrooms were also very clean. It’s an excellent place to stay, especially for first-time visitors. They also have a fire pit (i think u can bring wood or just buy it there), BBQ tools (you just have to pay for the gas), and equipment you can use at the lake. Overall, we had a great stay!"

Residence Inn by Marriott Gravenhurst Muskoka Wharf
10/10 Excellent
"Really nice and spacious room! Breakfast was great. Can’t beat the location, it’s close to everything and right on the water. Only thing to note is they do not have cribs as we were expecting for our baby, they only have a pack n play so be prepared"
"Good experience overall. The rooms are neat, clean, and very spacious, although the aesthetic look and exterior could be improved.
They have rooms of different sizes and can accommodate additional guests on request for around $10 per person. I found this particularly useful for families or larger groups, especially because the rooms offer plenty of space. And have kitchen in every room.
I stayed with my family of four in a spacious unit with one bedroom containing two queen-size beds, plus a single bed and a sofa in the living room. Based on the available space and sleeping arrangements, this room could comfortably accommodate a larger family or group—potentially up to 6 adults and 2 kids if the kids share beds with adults.
I also had a chance to see one of their larger three-bedroom units, which can accommodate up to 12 people.
Overall, this is a very practical and good-value option for families and groups looking for spacious accommodation. Improving the aesthetics and exterior
would make the experience even better."
"From the moment we walked in till the time we felt very welcomed and pampered by the staff they were so friendly and accommodating and truly made our stay relaxing.
The room was clean and comfortable the view from balcony was fabulous.
We ate at both restaraunts and had their morning buffet-all was fantastic!
Will definitely come back"
"Our third time staying here. Never disappoints - very clean, staff friendly and helpful, and included breakfast adequate. Location is great, near Bala, and in a walkable area of Gravenhurst for shopping and fast food."
"This is our 4th time and noticed that the property is starting to show improvement. The interior was nicely painted. The food is delicious!! Compliments to the Chef! Just needs paint and gardens could use some attention. Otherwise, what a marvellous place. Good value. Thanks so much."
"Absolutely. I’d make that the standout part of the review because it really shows the level of service:
We had such a wonderful stay at Stay Inn Muskoka this past weekend! From the moment we arrived, the service was amazing. A special thank you to Jonathan at reception, who was so welcoming, helpful and accommodating throughout our stay. Ingrid, the cleaner, also deserves a huge shoutout. Everything was extremely clean and well maintained.
The service honestly went above and beyond. We simply sent a text asking if the sauna could be started for us and they took care of it. JUST WOW. That is NEXT LEVEL service! I’ve honestly received less personalized service at Marriott and other luxury properties.
We also really appreciated how much was available at reception for guests to use, including robes, firewood and fire starters. The staff were incredibly trusting and made us feel very welcomed and at home.
The property itself was extremely quiet and peaceful, and the backyard space and amenities were such a great bonus. There are two hot tubs, a sauna, a fire pit and an incredibly comfortable hammock. Everything was set up perfectly for relaxing and enjoying the Muskoka atmosphere. The bed was also incredibly comfortable.
And honestly, if you happen to come across a bad review about this place, blink twice 😂 I genuinely feel like it must be a one off because our experience was completely different. Everything was clean, peaceful and well taken care of. Highly recommend!"
