Classic Cyprus hotel. It's not fresh but authentic! Amazing mountain view from window! Pretty good hotel restaurant with local food! If you want to feel Cyprus vibes that's what you need
Lovely location but stuck in the 1980’s in decor. No air conditioning but radiators installed ( June in Cyprus). Breakfast good though

We stayed here one night before a day skiing at Troodos. Despite arriving at 10pm we had a warm welcome from the lady on reception. Our room was perfectly clean and had all the basics we needed for a brief stay, including, shower, fridge, radiator.
Breakfast the following morning was served by a lovely Cypriot lady who I assume is the owner. She presented us with her hone made olives and apricot jam as well as coffee, toast, ham, cheese, tomatoes, cucumber and then freshly cooked bacon and eggs.
Just what we needed before a busy day in the snow.
There is no internet in the room, there is also no refrigerator. In the room hot, because there is no conditioner.Windows are also afraid to leave open, because there is no network on the windows, so do not pass the mosque.Moderately clean. The only thing that was good it is food, both breakfast and food in the tavern.
The bed was comfortable but that was the only positive thing we could say about the room. The carpet was so bad, dirty & with several burn marks, we didn’t want to walk on it. The wardrobe & bathroom were dirty - we couldn’t put anything on the wardrobe or bathroom shelf. We stayed for 2 nights & only had luke warm once for showers, the rest of the time it was freezing cold, despite the warm weather. There were several broken tiles & a broken towel rail. The curtains were extremely thin so as soon as the sun rose we were woken up - there were no black out curtains. It took 10 minutes to find someone to check in & check out. We had a bottle of red wine on both nights at the restaurant, taken from the shelf marked €12. On the second night, after we’d paid for it & opened it, a member of staff came along & tried to get more money from us, saying it was €20. Due to the cherry festival it was extremely noisy & the on street parking was extremely difficult. We personally would not stay in this hotel again as even at €45 a night this hotel has a long way to go before offering value for money.
The hotel was comfortable and cost. The family room was a generous size and the double bed was big and was of a five star hotel quality. The food served in the restaurant was excellent of local fare and the atmosphere with a fireplace was very welcoming. On top of all that the owner, Mrs. Dora and staff were friendly and welcoming. An excellently priced hotel for a short break or longer
I would not recommend mountain rose hotel to anyone because the room had nasty toxic smell. We were given another room which had no heating or hot water.
The room itself was basic but ok but we were very disappointed with the outlook. The booking confirmation clearly stated it was 'overlooking the mountains' but despite forwarding this to to the hotel, having been warned by friends of their previous experience, we were given a room that looked onto a wall & were told only other room types had mountain views. There was no-one on reception when we arrived, we had to shout & search for someone, & although other rooms were cleaned on the Saturday ours wasn't. The towels were very old & threadbare & you could either use the fridge or TV but not both as there was only 1 plug socket serving both.
Noice from the machines om the back. Very varm and mosquitos. A really bad night.

Very disappointing
The owner didn't expect us, she didn't know that we are coming and already paid for the room. We wait for them to prepare the room at 18:00 ! The first 15 minutes there was no hot water. The door of the balcony didn't closed.
Disappointed that no one was at reception when we arrived had to to wait 15 minutes. Further 15 minutes waiting for room to be ready. Stained carpets tatty décor. No security anyone walking in. In no way should they be serving breakfast terrible at best . had a lovely meal at a hotel a few yards down hill clean modern couldn't fault. Don't be fooled by the pics looks nice but its not.
