Great stay

It was a great stay and value for money. The breakfast was wonderful. Two matters: The veranda area especially the table was not clean and please replace the pillows. We suggest a hard one and a soft one.

Staff were excellent. Breakfasts outstanding but rooms would really benefit from new towels and higher quality pillows. Great place in need of a little TLC.

A gem of a guest house

Wonderful staff helped make our stay at De Linden Boutique Guest House superb. The location of the guest house is perfect - only a few minutes from the beach and the centre of town. Our room - the Protea Suite - was gorgeous, spacious and comfortable.

Disappointing stay in a gem of a town.

Doret was fantastic at communicating before we arrived to allow us to check in early. However, When we arrived we called the number given to us and Claudia seemed partly annoyed that we were there early. She gave us our room key and disappeared. When I had booked the hotel it was a 4star hotel and had air-conditioning. It was a hot night and there was no air conditioning and the location had been downgraded to a 3.5 star. We were in a room that faced the mai. Road so it was quite Loud and noisy throughout the night. When we checked and there was missing tissues but we were unable to find anyone to help us replenish this. The bathroom was also a little dirty with rust in the shower. We didn’t see anyone that day until the next morning — Doret greeted us at breakfast and we were really happy with breakfast. We again had to hunt someone down to check out which was a little frustrating. I was just a little frustrated with the situation. Had a delicious lunch at Wolfgat and saw whales from afar which made our stay memorable

De Linden was the PERFECT place for our weekend trip to Paternoster. amazing location and awesome staff, Doret was even able to secure reservations at the best restaurants in town. Highly recommend !

Well managed. Charming. Well located. Minimal staff so have to lock the entrance every time. Rooms too close to the road. Staff are helpful. Manager is nice and engages with the guests

Delightful ocean guesthouse

Delightful, relaxed guesthouse only a short distance from the ocean in sleepy Paternoster. With only a few rooms, decorated in beach house style, the experience was welcoming and personal. Host, Doret, is charming and helpful. She arranged for a beauty therapist to give treatments on the terrace overlooking the ocean. Divine.

We liked it so much we doubled our stay!

Beautiful hotel, close to beach and many restaurants. Doretta and her staff were just wonderful. Look forward to returning. Stunning breakfast!

Beautiful design, cozy accomodations

Amazing, cozy, beautifully-designed boutique b&b with tons of character, really feels like a magical little gem in a beautiful, picturesque town. The owners makes you feel very welcome and take-care of, and the food is delicious. Really a special place, highly recommended.

Angels Rest

Great boutique hotel. We stayed in the Protea suite with a nice balcony from which you could admire the sea view. This room is in the roof of the property hence lots of beams, so be aware if tall! Hostess and staff made us very welcome. Lovely quaint area is Paternoster with its fisherman cottages. Some good restaurant with excellent seafood choices. Crayfish a speciality of the area.

Nice place to stay for weekend

Was pleasantly surprised with bottle of bubbly and chocs, being my birthday. Found the room spacious, but bathroom needs attention. Rough cement floors and vanity not ideal for hygiene. Shower also needs shelf/rack against wall for shampoo and shower lotions. Extra shelf under vanity/basin suggested for patrons to place their own toiletries as non available on vanity. Bending down for the soap dish on the floor is not ideal. Management went extra mile to make you feel welcome, the daily breakfast was delicious. No extra meals provided, thus we had to visit the local restaurants for supper, which turned out to be a nice outing every time. Not enough coffee and milk provided in room for daily use, limiting us to one cup each. Would have loved to have clean towels on daily basis. The establishment and interior is tastefully decorated, obviously professionally done, but personally I am not in favour of the cement floors.
