The Whitehall Hotel, BW Premier Collection

"The location was everything, very close to Magnificent Mile, and now they have a Paris Baguette with an attached door to their hotel as well. That was a great surprise, and since I booked when free breakfast was offered, we received hotel specific daily vouchers to pick up some coffee/chai/breakfast/lunch items (paying the difference) from Paris Baguette each day, that was wonderful! There was always fresh tangerines in a bowl near the elevator as well which was an additional perk along with helpful Staff. The room was very small and extremely dimly lit. The bathroom lighting was THE WORST!!! So dim in there, and the little circular mirror from the wall has a light that barely worked so didn't help at all with the lighting issue. Also, very limited bathroom counter space. The shower was nice and the pressure was good though. There were several lamps in the room, but they didn't help much especially due to our view being a large concrete building without any windows or openings right outside our window, some of the street, and a parking garage across the street from our hotel. The only hotel pillow that was comfortable was the small velvet one with their logo on it, otherwise all the rest were not comfortable for my husband and I. They were the feather type pillows that go flat when you lay on them. The amount of blankets and mini fridge were great, but I'd suggest having a larger garbage can available in the room vs only one small bathroom garbage."

"I like that it had a balcony food choice wasn’t my type of style end up ordering food off of site but definitely had all the amenities for you to be ready for the next day. Will be staying again little bit pricey for a short weekend stay but I will definitely be coming back. Very great part of the town hope to own my own own home in this place one day."

"What an absolutely remarkable place! It genuinely feels as though a beautiful piece of historic Italy has been transported into this Chicago neighborhood. The architecture, thoughtfully selected ornate decor, warmth, and attention to detail create an atmosphere that is both elegant and incredibly welcoming. This is not simply a place to stay. It is an experience. And then there is Gina! Her hospitality is in a class of its own. From preparing a wonderful breakfast to serving homemade banana bread, she has a natural gift for making guests feel like family. Frankly, she could teach a master class in hospitality. I almost hesitate to share just how exceptional this place is because once people discover it, I have no doubt it will become a destination in its own right. Having stayed in countless places from California to New York, I can say without hesitation that this property stands among the very best. It sets a new standard for character, comfort, authenticity, and genuine hospitality. There is something special about a place that manages to feel both first-class and like coming home. Gina and Don, you have created something truly extraordinary. You didn't just get this place right. You knocked it out of the park! I cannot recommend it highly enough, and I would return in a heartbeat."
