Great little hotel, good location

Great stay at the Tonic Hotel. Staff were brilliant and so friendly. Great location. We did have rubbish under the bed when we arrived in the room but beds were comfortable and loved the ceiling Would recommend

It was in a nice area near the Louvre museum. The front desk staff was excellent. The bartender was excellent. The person attending the breakfast was not. The room was very spacious and comfortable. Charming.

Central but hotel needs a drastic upgrade

Location is central but the hotel is surely not 3 star. Pros Central Cons Storage of luggage unguarded, rooms really need an upgrade, decor seemed patched up, various screws on wall show previous things installed but not patched, jacuzzi bath had better days, broken toilet seat. Thankfully it was 1 night stopover

The location of the hotel was great. Right in the middle of everything. The hotel itself is a bit old and could use some upgrades. The breakfast in the mornings was good.

While my room was dated and small, the bed was luxurious and provided a wonderful restful sleep. Loved the bathroom which was fresh, bright and had amazing water pressure!! Location was steps from the chaletet des Halles station so easy train trip from the airport! The staff were great and helpful - and I would book there again

The property pictures must have been taken over 10 years ago and do not represent actual condition of hotel. This hotel needs a complete remodel. Carpets are worn and dirty. Walls need painting. Furniture needs to be either replaced or refinished. And bathrooms were disgusting , broken tile, mold around tub. Broken hair dyer and outlets that did not work. Now location of property is great. Nice neighborhood with shops and many restaurants. Walking distance from all major tourist attractions .

This place was very dirty. The sink was dirty. The tub was dirty and didn’t drain properly. The floor was dirty. Oh and cherry on top, the coffee cups had coffee stains on them.. I don’t even think they cleaned it! I understand it’s a three start but this is just horrible.

The staff were nice, but I would not recommend this hotel. There was MOLD in almost every area of the bathroom. We had two large suitcases, and they still put us on the fifth floor. That wouldn’t be so bad, but the elevator did not go all the way up to the fifth floor. We had to haul our suitcases up narrow stairs from the fourth to the fifth floor.

I had a reservation l couldn’t use because l was I in Rome and due to a strike in Paris all flights were canceled. There was not flight for the next 3 days therefore l lost my money because l had a non refundable reservation with this hotel , which l think is not fair because what was happening at the Paris airport was not under my control. I believe the hotel’s policy should be more flexible with the clients when this kind of stuff happens. They should give at least a credit to be used later. I’m very disappointed

This may be the worst hotel I've ever been to. The only good thing is its location. Walkable distance from Louvre Museum, Notre Dame and other. I can't understand how such a place can be located inside such a high-scale area. We felt like we didn't want to touch anything in the room, the bed was in poor condition, the carpet was filthy, the furniture looked like it was going to fall apart. The night lamps did not work. No towels in the bathroom, I had to come to the reception to ask for towels. The elevator is so tiny, two people with luggage cannot fit in it. I felt so disappointed about the hotel and about Orbitz for suggesting it that we just slept one night and first thing in the morning I got up, went around and booked another hotel in the area, knowing that I was going to lose over $700 in paid accommodation. Orbitz should reimburse me for such a bad experience.

It turned out that Uber doesn't stop at the hotel. The drivers cannot find the hotel. But the front desk never told me the problem. Every time I went back, I was dropped somewhere near or even far from the hotel and I had to figure out how to get there. At midnight of May 22, I had to take three Uber rides to get me close enough to the hotel. The front desk of the hotel should have told every customer the problem. I found it out only on the day I was leaving. I ordered a Uber and noticed that the driver was moving around and didn't come to the hotel. Then I asked the front desk person and he then told me that I needed to wait on another street. That was where I found the Uber. That shouldn't have happened. The hotel should warn every guest about the issue and ask them to order a taxi on a different street, not to or from the the hotel. It made my Paris trip so frustrating and horrible.
