Beautiful property in a great location. The only issue was that in August the restaurant and bar are closed. However, there were many nearby restaurants. We appreciated the large elevator, cool air conditioning and friendly staff.
The stay was perfect! The staff were very nice, the room was nice and cozy and clean. The bed was very comfortable. I have no complaints about this hotel. I did not get a chance to eat, but they have a nice bar and relaxing lounge.
Despite what the reviews say, the property is not quiet. The beds are comfortable. The carpeted floor makes the rooms feel musty. Bar was closed Sunday and Monday. But the bar was open for a private party on a Saturday night and they partied until 2 am. Loudly.
The staff was exceptional and kind and friendly. The breakfast well worth the fee! And the decor.... so chic! Love this hotel and would stay again. Great location too!
This place was an absolutely lovely experience. The staff was so incredibly helpful and friendly - every last one of them. While the french arent necessarily know for their *friendliness* every staff member went above and beyond to be welcoming and accommodating. As for the restaurant/bar/food options, my husband had the best burger of his life at the restaurant there the first day we arrived. We had cocktails there our third night and ordered room service - cheese and honey and wine - and they were happy to bring it up, the quality was high and the price was great (unlike in America where they gouge you terribly for room service, this was close to if not the exact same price as if you ordered it downstairs). Bedding was nice, room and bathroom well designed. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend, I cannot wait to return!
Our stay at L’Opale Noir was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the attention to detail throughout the property. Everything was beautifully maintained, comfortable, and welcoming, making it the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring Paris.
The location is outstanding. Very close to the Musée d’Orsay. It also put us within easy walking distance of so many wonderful sights, restaurants, cafés, and neighborhoods. It was an ideal home base for experiencing the city.
One of the highlights of our stay was the incredible breakfast. Overall, L’Opale Noir exceeded our expectations. The combination of spotless accommodations, an excellent location, exceptional breakfast, and a warm, inviting atmosphere made our time in Paris truly memorable.
We would absolutely stay here again.
ps Thanks for the dinner recommendations!
Great property! Very new and the rooms were great. Paid a little extra for the bigger room during our second stay and was worth it. Rooms are decorated very nice. A bit dark so you need all the lights on.
Staff very welcoming, great location. Rooms are very small, especially courtyard rooms. We stayed in two rooms and the first room was interior facing the courtyard. It was too dark and no shower curtain on the tub which is very European. We switched to a larger executive room with street view and that was significantly better and brighter. The bathroom had a shower with enclosure and it was more spacious compared to the previous room. It’s located in a great, quiet neighborhood, close to many cafes. AC worked well and restaurant looked great although we never ate in house. Had a good stay overall.
What a gem this hotel is! The minute you walk through the front door, you are warmly greeted by the staff. The hotel smells amazing, is incredibly clean and located in a wonderful area. The rooms and bathrooms are great sizes. I cannot say enough about the staff though. They are absolutely incredible and made our stay memorable. They are warm, kind, extremely helpful and myself and my friend thoroughly enjoyed getting to know each of them. We cannot wait to go back!
This is a lovely boutique hotel with very helpful staff who were willing to help. Huge shoutouts to the restaurant staff. They were amazing!!!
The rooms are cozy and clean with a nice bathroom and shower. The hotel is in a great location in the 7th. I’ll definitely be staying here again!
Great air conditioning and so quiet you will forget that you are in the center of the city. Very clean rooms with wonderful soap, shampoo & conditioner in large bathrooms. Nespresso machine with coffee and teas. The staff is very kind and helpful. And, just outside the door is a very famous bakery -Gosselin. The neighborhood is so quaint easy walk to all the main attractions. Truly a gem in Paris.
The location can’t be beat and we stayed a second time because of it. Our second room was smaller than our first, and this time we had a bathtub with handheld wand - if a shower is important to you, make sure you request one.
The staff is lovely, the smoke alarm still hasn’t been fixed and went off again midday for about 3 minutes. All in all, a lovely stay.
L'Opale Noire is a gem. This beautiful new hotel is a soothing escape after a busy day exploring Paris and is ideally located to icons on the Left and Right Banks - the D'Orsay, Musee Rodin, Louvre, Tuileries, and shops and cafes of St. Germain des Pres.
