"We have stayed at 3 other Barcelo properties but this is the first since the pandemic. We felt like they were still understaffed in a few areas and newer/not fully trained staff in others. Just glad that they survived a 9 month total shutdown. There is a macaw rehab/breeding center on the grounds that should get more press, fantastic! Nice pools, great ocean

"Property easy to find. Warm welcome. Gorgeous grounds. Bungalows are secluded and quiet with two pools and a bar on your doorstep. Only thing that surprised me: towels changed everyday. Excellent holiday base, mingling peace and quick access to services (supermarkets, restaurants, fuel). Lovely safe and clean beaches (minimal waves). Recommend Curú reserve. Bijou sized, easy walks, wildlife and paradise

"Location was very hard to find with no directions. Guard at gate was not friendly and would not let us into the community prior to check in. House smelled of strong fish smell. No dining options nearby. Woke up to no water. Water was shut off so we could not shower, or use toilets or anything and couldnt get ahold of host. "

"They seemed like a great family but no AC or hot water, shared bathroom and shower with 6 other rooms. Fruit fell from the tree hitting the metal roof which made it impossible to sleep much. It was not at all a good experience. It was a room with an old bed and a bench and book shelf with a fan but it stayed hot. The boat tour was nice."
