"Cornaro is a very smart and well run hotel, as you might expect for the price. Everything was spotless, the staff friendly and helpful, the rooms spacious and comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. It was also in a great location for visiting the old town of Split. The view from the rooftop terrace/bar was stunning and well worth a visit even if you did not have a drink. The only slight negative was the cleaning of our room. The maid failed to top up tea bags, coffee capsules or milk when servicing the room and we had to ask for more from the front desk, a minor point only."

We Liked: • Sandra is very welcoming and responds to any queries quickly. • The room & location felt safe & secure in a fairly quiet area. • Lovely selection of drinks & nibbles provided in fridge e.g. Milk, water, juice, nibbles, plus tea, coffee, etc. • Traditional feel to the room décor. • Plenty of toiletries & towels provided • Comfortable mattress. • The air con and window blinds kept the room cool • Free WiFi • Lovely pool with pool towels provided • Beach less than 10 mins walk down the hill • Uber cheap to the Old Town approx 6Euros each way • Nearby places to eat (between approx 5-10 mins walk): Bome restaurant, Dalmatino restaurant, Pekara Panis bakery, Zrno Ljubavi bakery, Fast Food Medeni (closest), several beach restaurants, and many others. • Large Tommys Hipermarket & other shops approx 10 mins walk (near Dalmatino restaurant) Small Niggles: • Basic amenities for food prep with no oven. • The fridge was noisy enough to wake us in the night. • Pool lovely but was the only place we got bitten by flies Overall, a pleasant stay."
