"This has been a highlight of our trip down the coast. It was a beautiful place to stop along our trip! The morning views from the balcony were spectacular! We enjoyed the light breakfast and the staff was very helpful! It was fun walking around the ocean and the pier. The restaurant below was an added bonus."

"The room was good overall, and a great value compared to other places nearby. There are signs of age, particularly the TV that had big areas of burn-in on the screen. But it fell short of 5 stars because of the 2 things: the lights were all too harsh, too bright LEDs, and the linens had such a strong fragrance it kept waking me up."

"Timber Cove is an exceptional property. The staff is super friendly and helpful. A big thank you to Luna who was so lovely and kind. The grounds are so well kept and the views are truly magical. Definitely dine at Coast Kitchen which offered delicious food in a cozy and inviting setting. Our stay here was a highlight of our 10 day trip and we will absolutely be back!"

"This was an absolutely wonderful stay. The room was cozy and clean. The view ( keepers room) was stunning, even from the bed! The fireplace put out plenty of heat. I actually never saw any hosts. Used the self check in and left at end of my stay. The lighthouse museum and tower tour were well worth it and informative. I enjoyed walking all the trails and views. I would gladly stay there again."

"This is one of my favorite places to stay. Lovely, charming, unhurried with beautiful architecture and grounds. The staff was helpful and friendly. The room was exactly as I recall it being roughly 12 years ago - spacious, lovingly decorated, attentive details everywhere with luxurious, high quality furnishings. The Madrones is a welcome respite in Anderson Valley and great home base for local wine tasting. The restaurant was still as cozy and intimate as I remembered, with simple but carefully crafted dishes. The dining courtyard could not be more charming. The ambiance is unbeatable at The Madrones and our experience was overwhelmingly positive. (There were a couple of minor areas of improvement: the tv wasn't properly working - but staff provided a half bottle of wine to make up for this - and the large blinds and bathroom ceiling could use dusting/cobweb removal.) All else was spotless and well maintained. I would return again and again and highly recommend The Madrones."

"The property was fantastic. The ocean view from our room was amazing. We enjoyed the hiking trails and the spectacular views! The food was good and the bar staff were friendly. A larger bar would be nice , but the ability to order a drink and take or to a different location nearby the bar with spectacular views makes up for a smaller bar."
