"Room was clean and warm, could not hear neighbours which was great, spa was perfect, curtains kept the sun out for those sleep in mornings, bed was comfortable. No Milk was provided nor offered. Coffee mugs were tiny and half the size of a can. Parking is not allocated to your room so it’s a first in first served."

"Woman on reception, incredibly unhelpful and unreasonable. We made a simple request to store some frozen wagyu that we were gifted, overnight in their freezer, no deal, so we had to bin about $150 worth of meat. Apparently she has no access to the kitchen, never known a kitchen and staff fridge to be under such high security Cooked breakfast was well below average for price, wouldn’t have feed the sausages to my dogs"

"My room was clean and spacious. The air conditioner kept the room warm and comfortable. The views and privacy were great and the receptionist was helpful and polite. I would recommend the Emerald Hotel as a great place to stay while visiting the Gisborne area."
