"The homely design is very attractive and makes you feel connected. Unfortunately we had a room on the second floor and there was no elevator. When we arrived we were helped upstairs, but when leaving no personel was present. The design of the room was charming but the space crampy, feeling crowded, small, and restricted. The queensize bed stood with one side against the wall and for the person sleeping at that side it was quite an effort to get out quickly. Also the bathroom was crampy. The part of town it was located in reminded us of the Cote d'Azur in France, the beach close by. Transfer to the city center was done with TUS (transporte Municipal de Santander)."

"Great location for El Sardinero and other smaller beaches next door, a Lupa grocery market, and bus stops into town are nearby, walking distance to Palacio de Magdalena. Parking is not free (10EUR) and there is plenty of free parking nearby. Host was business-like. Not too many dining options around."

"Some reviewe have mentioned this place feels dated - but i found it wonderful and quite the bargain. Huge room, very modern bathroom, mattress fine, clean as can be. Very helpful and friendly staff - especially Santiago at front desk. The carpets are worn, but other than that it is a gem. You would pay 3x the price to get such a spacious bathroom and room in a more modern hotel. Outstanding location"
