"I should note, you do have to walk up 100+ stairs, but once you get up there what an amazing view from the balcony of your room ! The caretaker is so nice, helpful, and a great breakfast cook; and you are just a short walk from 'downtown' Muizenberg. Will certainly stay there again if the opportunity arises. "

Our first floor room was spacious and well decorated with all ameneties including tea/coffee, fridge, beach towels etc. TV had Netflix etc. More St James than Kalk Bay but only 10mins walk to Kalk Bay. "This was an excellent stay. The hotel contacted us in advance to offer early access to the room and to confirm our arrival time. The hotel manager, Wonderful, was a welcoming and helpful host. The room was super clean, spacious and very comfortable with a wonderful sea view. The hotel is within walking distance of a good restaurant and grocery and wine stores are near by. "Devonport House is a wonderful guest house in a very nice and quiet neighborhood. Jenn and Jacques are great hosts and very helpful with tips for restaurants and sightseeing. The rooms are spacious and well equipped. Breakfast includes plenty of choices for everybody. Constantia is perfect if you are looking for a place close to Cape Town but safe and quiet."
