"Our room and overall experience was amazing. Our concierge Bryan was very accommodating and helped us with everything from getting a taxi to making a plethora of recommendations for us to try. The room was spotless, the shower pressure and lighting (for makeup) were great, and the best part was the view! Waking up to the sound of waves crashing on the stunning private beach, relaxing to epic sunsets and enjoying the food and cocktail offerings at the different restaurants made this stay perfect for the birthday that we were celebrating. "

"We did get a partial view ocean room but after having to remind them about our reservation because they gave us a different room than what we booked. The service is bad, staff is lazy not worth the money you spend. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel, what the online reviews say are true and they are bad!"

"This was our second visit to this resort. We like it for its quiet lication and absolutely stunning grounds. It is a respite for us. My 4 stars as opposed to 5 is simply because the units do lack some basic items (a roll of paper towels, etc) and some units appear to have upper and lower AC while others do not. We would love to see screens on the windows as the crossbreeze really does help with the heat, but no screens led to a lot of bugs in our unit this visit. Also, there was a permeating smell of sewer on/off during our time there, which was offputting. We did not have this issue last year. It is a beautiful place, just could use some upgrades here and there. "

"We loved our stay at Renaissance. We definitely recommend the all-inclusive option. The staff was super friendly, helpful, and welcoming (shout out to Thalia, who helped us with a car rental!). There were always chairs at the beach. The grounds are beautiful, and the location is great for walking to town (though, you'll want a car to get to any of the amazing beaches on the island). "

The check in process is seamless and the staff are quick to answer in person questions. My only negative was outside of office communication, emails / calls / chat functions lacked in responsiveness. "Clean room , nice staff. The “pods” were a bit odd and the butler service, while a nice touch, was not really coordinating with the rest of the team. The “all inclusive” part was not that great in terms of quality and choice of food. The il mare concept should be reviewed as it is certainly different and not for everyone "
