Sitting under a covered porch, late afternoon, watching and listening to birds, in the background you can hear a rooster, the clanking of bells from cattle in a nearby field, all taking place in a light rain. One of us mentioned the WIFI was a little weak, we looked at each other and shrugged. Didn’t come here for WIFI. The breakfast was very good, and everyone has a smile on their face. There’s a rock monolith within walking distance, and the castle is a five minute drive. Vineyards, olive trees,…honestly, paradise. In our case we left the window in our front door open, to access WIFI. A minor inconvenience. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn’t. We slept great, and after two nights, we were sorry to leave. God, I love this country. "

There was not much staff on the premises and we had just arrived from a Relais & Chateau which was pretty much the same price so in comparison this destination was lacking BUT if you are going to Monsaraz and want to relax after your day of visiting I would still highly recommend since nothing in the area is comparable and the place is very beautiful and enjoyable!"
