"Great stay here. Easy access to train station and main town with promenade. Staff are very helpful and there is always someone at reception. Rooms are large, with balconies and very clean. We paid for breakfast which has a large selection. Would stay here again."

"The member of staff was so friendly and helpful. We arrived for the Jazz Festival and had issues parking, but she quickly and effectively helped us. We had a balcony over looking the lake and festival, it was brilliant. We didn't have time to stay for breakfast, but it looked great. We did enjoy a couple of drinks at the bar upon arrival, which was lovely. I would definitely recommend this perfectly situated hotel."

The rooms are in urgent need of refurbishment to meet the standards expected at the price they charge. Here are my main gripes; No bath robes (only slippers - why?) No tea/coffee facilities Radiators don't work properly, have to use noisy ancient aircon on high to heat the room. No sockets take universal adaptors in the room, only socket that does is the shaver socket in the...

"The hotel is full of heritage, dating back to the mid 19th century. Both the building and its interior are fascinating, with relaxing colors that create a peaceful and stress-free atmosphere. We stayed for just one night during our long motorcycle trip, so unfortunately we didn’t have enough time to enjoy all the additional services the hotel has to offer. Our room was very spacious, the bed was comfortable, and the shower was amazing - exactly what we needed after several days on the road....
