"Hotel is beautiful, staff is extremely friendly, parking is a breeze you have the option to do valet at a fee where you can come and go throughout the day or there is an attached garage that also has a fee but you pay every time you enter. If your only staying for sleep the attached garage is the way to go. The bed are comfy, bathrooms are nice and clean. I slept amazing. The only complaint I have is none of the ice machine had ice. I went to five different floors searching for ice and none of the machines had ice in them. Other than that the hotel was amazing and I would stay again. "
"Elevator was not working and wasn’t told that until I checked in. Asked for towels and washcloths the next morning and for my sheets to be changed, once I returned back neither was done. Had to change my own bed and they ran out of towels and washcloths. The hall way on the first floor leading to the stairs smelled as if there was old seafood left in a room somewhere. Asked for late checkout which was never written down or put in the system and housekeeping came banging on the door saying it was time to leave when in fact I wasn’t supposed to leave for another 1.5 hours. Upon booking there was no indication I had to pay more money when checking in for incidentals and had to swipe my card twice. This should be included in the price when booking."
"Our family spent spring break week here and had an amazing time. The room we had was clean and spacious. The only thing I would say could use some improvement is the sofa bed which was very uncomfortable and there should be a vacuum available in the room. Another resort we stayed at in the area a few years ago had a vacuum in our room. The carpet was also pretty dusty and dirty, I doubt they wash them with a wet vacuum, but I guess thats why they chose a darker color carpet.
The amenities were pretty good, lots of activities for the kids and the heated indoor pool and basketball court was the highlight. Since its still cooler weather, we didnt get to check out the outdoor pool but it looked pretty neat.
Lastly, the staff was phenomenal, specifically Peyton who was the main person we communicated with during our stay. They had the option to communicate via text which was so convenient than having to call the front desk. We needed something sent to our room and Peyton got it taken care of super quick. She also checked on us periodically and even gave us a heads up during one of the days when they ran out of towels at the pool and advised us to bring our own.
The location of the resort was close to everything which was convenient as well. Everywhere we needed to go was a short drive away. We will definitely consider this resort again the next time we come down to Williamsburg."
"Just me & my son. When we arrived they did not have the room we reserved. The front desk person asked if I was ok with us having separate rooms I said “No! I’m not putting my 15 year old son in a room by himself!”. Hotel smelled in manners & hallways. Side doors: outer door was not shutting properly & “arm” of inside door was broken. Floors looked like had not been mopped in a while.
Our room: 2 double beds lined with large cardboard strips b/c the bed frames had just been stained. Beds were like sleeping on grandma’s old thin mattresses with plywood underneath. Bathroom was clean, but shower was not sealed so water got all over the floor.
Come to find out, that room was “under construction”….maintenance person showed up and said “oh, I didn’t realize someone was staying in here. I was coming to do maintenance.”
After a horrible night’s sleep, we left as quickly as we could "
