Exceptionally helpful and friendly folks at the front desk. Location is convenient, walking distance to California Avenue and short drive/bike ride to Stanford. Room was very comfortable and quiet.

Everything was great. It's a family owned since 1973. Still has that 70's look on the outside and some rooms still have that look. They are remodeling their rooms discreetly and they will be doing the same to the exterior. Neil is the owners so and he is very personable he also runs the front desk and is there for his customers. They also have adequate parking,ice machine and a very nice continental breakfast. A great stay.

Stayed here three nights while daughter at Stanford Medical and service was excellent, rooms very clean, good bed. The owner of this Inn went above and beyond to accommodate me for extra nights that were not expected. Would recommend this Inn to anyone. I.M

Parking was safe and easy. Rooms updated and clean with big mini-fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Bathroom stocked with choices for various amenities. TV instructions very clear! Restaurant nearby for dinner. Breakfast was take out items back to room to enjoy with in room coffee.

The room was clean and comfortable. Parking was very good. The continental breakfast was packaged pastries and coffee-machine coffee. Some fruit and fresh brewed coffee would make it much better. The staff was very friendly.

Just as others have said. The staff at this property make the visit. They are wonderful. Now that sounds odd to be saying that there is such importance on how the front desk deals with routine and unforeseen issues, and I wouldn't have thought it would until I stayed here. Simple tasks like dead batteries in the TV remote can be very frustrating at many hotels; even chain ones. And they all loved having my dog stay there! :-)

The exterior definitely needs a coat of paint, which had me a bit apprehensive, but the inside of the room was very clean and comfortable. The room turned out to be a kitchenette with a mini-fridge, microwave, and coffee maker and two beds. The room and bed were comfortable with an A/C heater combo that could be adjusted (a bit loud but effective). We had a good night’s sleep! The manager and staff were incredibly friendly, responsive and helpful. When I asked for help with the TV, the manager came within 5 minutes, and replaced the TV when he couldn’t fix the problem within 10 minutes. In the morning, the desk person was equally friendly and welcoming and offered me bottled water to take on the road. If you’re looking for a clean, comfortable space to rest your head at a reasonable cost near Stanford, with great service, this is the spot! I would definitely stay here again.

Great stay in Palo Alto-close to the sights and parks of the area for family entertainment and then the concert at Stanford. For the overall cost, the property was great and quiet and we appreciated the drink service in the lobby area and free breakfast.
