"We stayed at a hotel just across the street on our way down to Ocracoke Island. Let’s just say thumbs down. So I called Holiday Inn Express and made some inquiries about the beds in particular. We took a chance and booked it and this will now be THEE hotel we stay at coming and going from Ocracoke. I was very pleased with the beds in particular. The breakfast buffet had several good items to be had. The hotel was clean and felt updated and because of our experience here, we will give other Holiday Inn Expresses a chance, someplace that hasn’t been on our radar in the past. "

This quaint inn is quiet, accommodating and perfect for my short stay in the area--even for a holiday weekend. I purchased an extension cord and it worked perfectly to blow dry and style my hair at the mirror. This inn was constructed at a time when multiple outlets were not necessary and the ocean breeze would style your hair anyway. "
