The entire experience was fantastic and We highly recommend this hotel. The owner was very friendly and helpful, she even gave us an emergency number to reach her if we needed it. The dinner was one of the most delicious we have eaten in a hotel. In addition, there are numerous hiking paths leading from the hotel as well as different options, bus, train, or hiking, for traveling to nearby Oybin.

Der Wirt könnte ruhig etwas freundlicher sein. Es ist schon merkwürdig wenn er in Unterhose muffelig das Frühstück serviert und man ihm jeden Teebeutel mühsam aus den Rippen leiern muß .

Die alte Schmiede hat eine sehr gute Küche, das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Die Zimmer sauber, allerdings etwas klein. Das Frühstück könnte ein wenig abwechslungsreicher sein. Jeden Tag den gleichen Käse und die gleiche Wurst sowie die gleiche Marmelade. Das wlan ist nur sehr eingeschränkt möglich.

Und hat es sehr gut gefallen an diesem ruhigen wie besonderen Ort. Die Wirtsleute und das Personal waren sehr freundlich. Die Abgeschiedenheit in Kombination mit der Luft sowie der Landschaft haben uns gut erholen lassen. Was die Küche angeht, so sehen wir Nachholbedarf bei Qualität und Abwechslung. Frühstück von Tag zu Tag abwechslungsreicher gestalten. Die Speisen insgesamt sind nicht auf der Höhe des so positiven Gesamteindrucks. Getränke top! Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit! Wir hielten uns in diesem schönen alten Gebäude für einen Wochenendurlaub auf. Herzlich wurden wir begrüsst, das stimmt uns schon sehr positiv. Wir erlebten in diesen kurzen Tagen, nette Gastgeber, die mit viel Arrangement zum Wohle ihrer Gäste und deren Zufriedenheit da waren. Das Essen war sehr lecker, die Zimmer sauber und nett hergerichtet. Und die tolle Natur, die wir geniessen konnten, brachte die nötige Erholung. Gerne empfehlen wir diese Gastlichkeit weiter und werden sicher auch selbst noch einmal zu einer anderen Jahreszeit vorbei schauen.

... GERNE IMMER WIEDER

Wir waren nur für eine Nacht in der ALTEN SCHMIEDE, würden aber auf jeden Fall auch einen etwas längeren Aufenthalt in Betracht ziehen. Überaus freundliche Mitarbeiter, ein sehr schönes Ambiente und ein tolles Restaurant sorgen für ein wunderbaren Urlaub. Unser Zimmer war hell, groß genug, sehr sauber und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Alles in Allem war es ein sehr schönes Wochenende und wir können den Gasthof nur weiter empfehlen.
