Holiday Inn Resort Orlando Suites - Waterpark by IHG
6/10 Okay
"I’d give it a 3.5 out of 5. The room was clean and I liked the bunk bed and decor in the room for the kids. I didn’t like the fact that I was put on a high floor with a broken elevator without a heads up before booking. It was inconvenient to have to use other elevators then walk across multiple hallways with 4 kids. There was some remodeling being done which obviously didn’t look the best. For example when using building 3’s elevator you get to the top and there’s a bunch of mattresses and box springs being stored where the ice machine is. I also didn’t love the surf board process. You have to schedule to use it online & it’s not simple- I thought I booked a slot for my daughter and it turns out I didn’t complete the process. It was a bummer she never got to try it. During check out the next day I discovered another waterpark I was never informed of. To my understanding that area was closed to construction but it turns out half of it was open- another missed opportunity. BUT overall it was okay/pretty good, maybe next time we’ll get to fully enjoy all the amenities."
"Absolutely happy with our stay. Check in was super easy and quick. There’s a paper in the lobby where you can scan a QR code to reserve the complimentary shuttle to the parks.
Our room was spotless, had a pleasant aroma; just as the rest of the hotel did, had plenty of towels available in our room, sheets were pristine. I really liked the separate living room with coffee bar and mini fridge. My son slept on the big couch by choice and said he was very comfortable all night. I also liked that there’s a door that can be closed. No noise from the living room or hallways can be heard from the bed. It also gave my husband and I more privacy.
The breakfast was delicious ! The menu of the buffet consisted of breakfast sausages, scrambled eggs, cubed potatoes, oatmeal, fruit, yogurt, cereal, mini donuts, mini pancakes, French toast, and mini bagels. They offered butter, cream cheese, peanut butter and two of jellies. To drink there was milk, juice and piping hot coffee. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. We had pizza and wings from the pizza shop in the lobby. Not the best pizza but the wings were delicious. Overall we recommend this hotel 100%. It was inexpensive, the staff was friendly, the whole place is very clean, the breakfast buffet is superb and the amenities offered were a great plus ! We will definitely be back."
"This seems to be a newer hotel. The rooms were clean and the staff were friendly. It was a very modern/minimalist hotel. I stayed in the double king bed room. The bed was super comfy. My only con would be that the room was much smaller than I expected. It lacked storage like drawers. There was a mini closet at the entrance of the room, but that’s it. The bathroom was weird too. The design featured an open shower. It only included one glass door leaving half of it entirely open so it was difficult not to splash water all over the place. Otherwise my experience was good. Now that I know what to expect, I wouldn’t mind staying again. "
