I stayed at the Divi for 5 days last week. I was very excited to go since it was my first time. In Aruba, the hotel is still under construction, and a lot of the rooms are outdated. Although I was put in a building that was considered their
last built building, it was over 12 years old and it showed. The beds are horrible, and I requested a new mattress my first night because the current one was ready to hit the floor. When I spoke to the manager, I was told there was no other rooms available in the hotel. She did, however, have a new mattress sent over the next morning. It was slightly better, however, things like dirty chairs on the balcony chipped glass on the mirrors in the bathroom, having to request towels daily was annoying. However, Jenn in housekeeping was GREAT. She was basically in my room every night to change stained linen that had been put on the bed or to bring towels.
The food was pretty basic and repetitive. I did feel safe, however, throughout my stay there and the beach was nice. The drinks are weak and not top shelf alcohol.
We enjoyed the restaurants at the dister property and the atmosphere. I wouldn't consider these 4 star hotels.
