"We really enjoyed our short stay in Salalah. The hotel is easy to find, with plenty of parking spaces. We arrived early, check in was quick and they allowed us immediate access to our room. The room was very spacious with plenty of storage space. It was cold and clean. Despite the hotel being very busy our room was very quiet so we could completely relax. My husband loved the swimming pools and Spa area enjoying the steam room and sauna.
We had 1 evening meal during our stay, an International buffet. There was a good choice and starters, salads, main meals and sweets. The staff were attentive without being instrusive. Breakfast was busy, but food plates were constantly refilled quickly so no one was stood waiting for their choice. Plenty of dishes to choose from, serving till 11am.
Hourly bus to the close by Water park, with free admission combined with hotel stay, great fun for kids. Lots of restaurants and cafes within walking distance. You're on the main highway to the mountains to visit the green areas and waterfalls. Waterfalls very small this year due to insufficient rains.
Highly recommend Fanar Resort and visiting Salalah in general."
