Diamond in the rough!!

Moon bay is absolute place to stay at SBMA! The upkeep of the rooms and the pool which is super clean and fabulous. The restaurant staff and housekeeping and front desk really take care of you and make you feel relaxed like your at home. Great place and I highly recommend Moon Bay to everyone!!

Good balance of budget, location and cleanliness/safety/service. This hotel is in a perfect location for restaurants by the water or my fave Texas Joes.

We are very happy with our 2-night stay at the Villas. The suites are very spacious and has amenities that are conveniently provided. The staff were all very polite, helpful and make their guests welcome. We enjoyed the pool, the balcony and the driving range at the back of the Villas. Value for money, well recommended!

Great time at great price

People were friendly. Michael security guy was nicest guy we’ve met. Food was great and priced low. Location was right on beach. We could walk to 3 different drug stores and a grocery store within 5-10 minutes. Plus restaurants along beach were all within 3 minutes walk.

All the staff were exceptional, they went above and beyond. The hotel needs a lot of repair/maintenance though. However, problems encountered in the room were handled/fixed right away.

Staffs are very friendly. Restaurant is open until midnight. The only things I didnt like in the room we stayed in is the electric outlet, most sockets are not usable in the bathroom and the vanity. I had to use the only working outlet in the kitchen to plug the hair dryer. Plus the night is alive in this area where you can hear loud music until past midnight. If you are the night owl type. That'll be ok but if you want to go to bed early please bring your earplugs.

Everything is great, only one thing that's a bit off is when we got there the first time there is a smell of strong paint odor, we got used to it within our stay, other than that everything is good o and by the way the breakfast is good 😋

Upon check-in, the hotel staff is helpful, carried all our things. Hair dryer is available upon request. The shower area has no curtain or door to prevent the water from coming out of the floor. The bath towels are clean, white and soft to the skin. Bed linens are not that white but smells good(need to be replaced). Pillows are comfortable to use. Overall, the place is huge for couples and well sanitized.

My stay at the Villas was fantastic. I extended my stay by 3 days as the place was just so pleasant. The room was more than spacious for one person. The room was immaculate. The bathroom was clean with god water pressure and plenty of hot water. The cafe was staff friendly and polite, and the food was outstanding. There are other dining options in the area, but the Cafe Azul's chef (s) are top notch! The hotel staff is courteous and professional, with kudos going out to Mike, who goes out of his way to make guests feel welcome. The pool was clean and pristine, so if you are looking for aquatic fun, you might want to limit it to the pool, as the beach area leaves a lot to be desired. The hotels in the area might want to consider organizing some community volunteer beach cleanup days throughout the year. The only complaint I had was on my last night there, the guy in the room next to mine decided to blast rock music in his room around 12:30 in the morning, and when I asked the evening security guard to deal with it, he instead directed me to the front desk, whom I reported it to (though I should not have had to as the music was quite loud). Unfortunately nothing was done and the music was still blaring when I finally fell asleep around 3:30 am. Things like that shouldn't happen at a hotel, and the perpetrator not face any consequences. Other than that I've nothing but good things to say about the Villa's.
