"If you’re going to Nantucket and looking for a conveniently located place to stay, you won’t find anything better than the Jared Coffin House. When we arrived at the ferry, I called the hotel and they sent their courtesy vehicle down to pick up all of our items and we were able to walk around town until our hotel room was ready. For the rest of the trip it was so nice to have a place close by to go in the middle of the day to use the restroom before we continue doing whatever we needed to do. The staff from beginning to end was absolutely incredible and would do anything that you asked them to do. We also enjoyed The Tap Room for a mid-day drink, and the food was great too! In the morning, we would sit in the booths next to hydrangeas and enjoy our meal in the perfect weather. The Jared Coffin House also happens to back right up to the Hunky Dory House which features one of the most photogenic spots! This was my second time staying, and I don’t think I’ll stay anywhere else when I visit."
"Property is unattended and there is no method of contacting the Innkeeper other than by mobile phone. There was no TV in our room abut if you wanted to watch TV, there is a screen in the communal area. Room was exceptionally clean and well presented and the bathroom facilities were first class. A self service breakfast was included in the room cost and was more than adequate with a good selection of breads/fruits/pastries/hot & cold drinks. The location is a 15 minute walk from downtown Nantucket or a 15 dollar Uber ride and there are several tourist brochures with local information available in the communal area. Would definitely stay here again when visiting the island."
"Quiet. Uncomplicated. Staff was helpful when needed but allowed your privacy as well. Lovely stay. Want to come back soon and would stay there again immediately."
"We absolutely loved staying at the barnacle inn. The owners and their sweet puppy were so kind and helpful with local recommendations. The afternoon cookies were delicious and the breakfast was top notch with something for everyone in our group ranging from a 5yr old to adults. What was a really nice thing was that they had beach chairs, coolers and picnic baskets available to borrow for our excursions too. Loved the nautical decor everywhere. Highly recommend staying here in the future. We will certainly be back."
