Would have liked a hair dryer and a larger trash can in the kitchen area but not deal breakers and would definitely book again!! "

"The staff were so friendly and helpful. We had a cabin with its own amenities, but we did scope out the shared kitchen and it was spacious and clean. It is pet friendly, there were other people in campers and RVs who had dogs with them. The owners also had a friendly little fur baby who was one of the highlights of our interactions with them. I recommend staying here and would definitely stay here again."

"This is such a lovely retreat, all credit to manager Kelly and her family. She went out of her way to make us feel welcome and it was much appreciated. The refurbished rooms were nice, clean and warm and the private shower was awesome. We had an awesome time and were lucky to see two kiwi on the grass near the bush even though it was raining, and we heard lots more. It was really magical!"

"Excellent accommodation and wonderful hosts We had the pleasure of spending three days and three nights at Arcadia Lodge in Russell and truly enjoyed every moment of our stay. The lodge is exceptionally well maintained, spotless, and clearly run with great attention to detail. We would especially like to thank the fantastic hosts, Greg and Peter. "We had our own little cabin (Unit #8). Open floor plan for kitchen, dining, bed. Seating on a nice little deck. Shower looks tired, but hot water showed up quickly and I had a good shower. Our only issue was that there were ants in the kitchen. The owner/manager said he would take care of it when we went out for dinner, and when we came back, no more ant issue."

"Excellent. Very convenient. Room was spacious and well-equipped. Staff was very nice. We actually couldn't make it for the first night because of a change in plans so we tried to contact the hotel but couldn't get through. When we arrived the next day, we did not get any funny looks or stares. We just got the same nice, courteous service we would expect. Plus, the location cannot be beat. Right on the beach. You can literally see the ocean from here! And feel that nice sea breeze wafting through...

"We had a fabulous two day stay here. Angela and her delightful staff could not have been more helpful. We stayed in a gorgeous large and spotless room (thanks again for the upgrade!) with kitchen and bathroom, all perfectly and thoughtfully equipped. In addition, many wonderful things were offered, from free baristas morning coffee to bicycles, beach towels & umbrellas, pool and tennis court use. Highly recommended! "

"This is a great place to stay. The amenities are very good and clean and tidy. Dorm rooms are comfortable but can get quite warm. Good location opposite the wharf and within 30 minutes walking treat grounds and other walking tracks. Staff are very good and informative and will provide you with plenty of help if needed. "

"We had a great stay at Allegra house. Great views and the location was perfect, short walk to town. Our hosts were also great. The studio was very clean and had all amenities. "

"Had a great time here. Stayed for 7 nights. Had no issues, close to the beach not a far walk from the wharf. Staff were lovely and the pool and spa pool were nice to relax in. Cheaper than most of the other motels so you dont feel ripped off. Will come back again. "
