"My wife and I booked this hotel back in February for the Oddities event. However, had we known what the property was like beforehand, we definitely would have chosen elsewhere. "At first we were placed in the Calvert House but then switched to the Johnson. The shower plumbing was broken. The shower soap pump did not work. The tub porcelain was chipped and the pillows were very hard. The door did not seal at the bottom and hall light came in. Air conditioning was noisy.
I know it is a historic inn but these issues should not have been there. I would not go back."

"I had a great stay at Arlo Washington DC. The hotel is beautiful, very clean, and the breakfast was excellent. The common areas are stylish and well maintained, creating a wonderful atmosphere.
My only suggestions for improvement are that the air conditioning only goes down to 68°F, which felt a bit warm at night, and the curtains are not fully blackout, allowing morning light into the room.
Other than these two minor issues, everything was perfect. I would definitely stay here again and...

"The location was perfect! Great restaurants attached to the building and you’re in walking distance of everything you need. Rooms are dated and in need of a deep clean. Staff was nice but the carpet in the rooms hasn’t been cleaned in over a year. The breakfast was also disappointing. Don’t spend the $20 a person. There’s one person with a flat grill.
