"This hotel was a total surprise. The small town of Obrovac is located in a canyon along a river. The ride to get there was very pretty and the setting of the hotel right on the river was beautiful. The place has obviously been recently renovated and it is all new and clean smelling. "We arrived at Vila Nika to discover that it had been booked already but the owner gave us a room in the Boutique Cosmopolis situated opposite. The view was much prettier, we could see the sunset on the sea, it was beautiful. However there was no kitchenette so we struggled a fair bit in terms of cleaning cups/spoons/etc where we had to use the sink in the bathroom. "3 friends had a 2 night stay, July ‘25. Host Klaudio could not have been more welcoming and hospitable - nothing was too much & he rightly prides myself on making his guests satisfied. Property/building was clean & facilities felt >4 star, as rooms were spacious, modern & super clean, with great balconies extending the leisure opportunities. The pool is also a great size for the property & had clean comfortable lounger chairs & plenty of them. Although most people were out & about so very peaceful and relaxing too. Breakfast was even better than expected, with freshly cooked eggs & a plethora of choices of fruits, proteins, cereals/bread & hot/cold drinks. ‘Great location; a 2km walk into the main town of Zadar or c.€4-5 in a taxi. Would not have chosen to stay anywhere else & will aim to revisit if/when going to Zadar or the Plitvice Lakes areas. "

"Probably our favorite stay during our time in Croatia! A stone's throw away from the beach, and perfect walking distance not only too some great restaurants, but also old town/city center is only 10 minutes maximum! Amazing swimming and beach area in the backyard, along with a couple beach-side bars. We loved it so much, we wound up getting engaged at the imperial fountain just down the beach! Can't recommend this place enough, amazing rooms with spacious bathrooms, great poolbar area and incredible food. Love you Kolovare, see you again soon! <3"
