"Our first room literally smelled like raw sewage. They changed our room to a room that smelled, but at least it wasn’t raw sewage. I travel all the time and never give a bad review. I went to the bistro and ordered an old-fashioned. They charged me $12 and I left a three dollar tip charge to my room. 10 minutes later a different bartender told me that I can’t make it a room charge and gave me a new bill charging $14 without telling him you should raise the price. When I questioned it, she said the other bartender made a mistake and the price went up. I then saw other people making room charges so clearly she lied to correct the mistake of the other bartender. As I was sitting at the bar, a small roach crawled across the bar Next, the woman at the front desk, suggested we not miss the breakfast in the morning when I went down, it turns out that the breakfast wasn’t free, but you had to pay for everything including coffee. There was no free coffee anywhere in the lobby. When I asked the front desk, they told me I could use the coffee maker in the room, but I would have to pay for bottled water or carry the Keurig to the ice station and use water there. Then they didn’t even bother to clean the room at all. When I asked for ONE extra pillow, they told me they had none Lastly, I asked to check out 30 minutes late. They said they had none availability. Stay away!"

"This is the only place I stay when I come to High Point for work. Rooms are immaculate, staff are friendly, I love the classic old Manor. The Inn is located in, the little art gallery, and the breakfast is great."
