"We loved everything about Z1. Pool overlooking the ocean was beautiful, poolside service was also great while lounging. Private beach loungers were also really nice with security keeping beach peddlers away. Next door is a little convenience store where you can get cheaper cold beer/soda/snscks. Room was very clean and comfortable and turned over twice daily. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was really solid at sexy fish, overlooking the ocean/beach. The rest of the meals are pricey compared to nearby places and I wouldn’t say the quality is much higher. Just fancier plating and garnishes. Not a ripoff by any means but for the price we got better value at local spots off the beach."

"Absolutely fantastic! The hotel and our room was spotless and as soon as we walked in we were welcomed and made to feel special. Our room was incredible, so spacious and comfortable. Every single staff member at the hotel could not have done more to make our holiday unforgettable, everyone went above and beyond, were polite and friendly. Food was delicious and there was so much variety, the restaurants were fantastic with the best steak ever!! The pools made it feel like we were in complete paradise, overlooking the beach, plenty of sun loungers, brilliant entertainment and fantastic staff always there to get us a cocktail!"

"⭐ 4‑Star Review – The Zanzibari Hotel My family and I had a lovely stay at The Zanzibari Hotel. The property has a peaceful, intimate atmosphere, and the ocean views are truly beautiful. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were warm, welcoming, and always willing to help when we needed anything. One thing travelers should know is that the meal options are limited, as the hotel has only one restaurant. The team does make an effort to change the menu daily, but the variety can still feel restricted, especially if you're staying several nights or traveling with picky eaters. Another point to consider is that there are no planned or organized activities offered by the hotel. While the setting is relaxing and perfect for unwinding, you’ll need to plan your own excursions or entertainment outside the property. Despite these limitations, we enjoyed our time here. The peaceful environment, friendly staff, and beautiful ocean setting made it a memorable stay. It’s a great choice if you’re looking for a quiet, simple, and scenic getaway."

"Couldn’t recommend this hotel more! We had an amazing stay at Maisha, the staff were an absolute highlight for us and really made the trip special. A huge shout out to Edward who was always a friendly face with warm conversation and made the best drinks at the bar, he really made our trip memorable! We loved the beach bar and the food and drinks were great. I highly recommend using the TukTuk service to visit local Nungwi & Kendwa beaches, it costs a couple of dollars and is very worth it. The drivers are great and can pick you up whenever needed. The staff are really helpful if you have any questions or need any recommendations on what to do on the island. We loved the couples massage and recommend doing this whilst at the hotel. The hotel is steps away from the Mnarani turtle conservation pond which was a highlight for us, and focuses on turtle welfare and rehabilitation vs a tourist trap."

"Glad I took a gamble and stayed at this rustic boutique hotel. Its was totally worth it and sat quite well with my budget. As a 1st timer in Zanzibar I chose to stay @ Nungwi but was flooded with options of specific hotel to stay at without breaking the bank or having regrets about choice. It was my 1st time over expericing and out dorsy reception ...they sure made that style work for them.Thd front office staff were so welcomig with a wet hand towel and a cold glass of hibiscus drink. House keeping was also top notch cleaning 2ce everyday and sorting insecticides at night to keep the pesky skits away. The AC sure work well good water pressure clean beddings ample supple of tea and coffee in the room. Didn't bother with tge tv though. The chef on duty on the BBQ night dod a phenomenal job on my choice of grilled red snapper. The location was just perfect for needs. Met and had a good chat with both the female American and male Asian Manager. Highly recommended. Was so impressed I extended my stay by a night."
