"Off-street parking right outside the room, basic room but clean and comfortable, hot water took a long time to come through but then hot enough, good location near food outlets, light continental breakfast however cereals should be in sealed containers."

"I always enjoy staying at this property. The team is friendly, and the whole place has such a calm, relaxing feel. The rooms are well maintained, the mattress is incredibly comfortable, and the air conditioner works beautifully — such a relief after a long day. There’s also a laundry available (located in a separate area at the property), which is really handy, and the kitchen is well equipped with everything you need for cooking. The bathroom is clean and modern too. Overall, it’s a comfortable, welcoming place to stay and always a great experience."

"Hotel is old but rooms are clean and quiet with new split system aircons and the usual appliances. You will get a good night's sleep here if you don't want any noise disturbing you. Location very convenient being in the Mackay CBD. Staff allowed us to use the reception freezer to keep an ice pack cold for my daughter's medication. Thank you!"

"Check-in was done via text message and key left in the room and door left unlocked so I could get in. The room and bathroom were clean and tidy with instruction laid out on the bench to read. Make sure you read these! As people have mentioned you are asked not flush the toilet everytime you go. Their tip is- "If it's yellow let it mellow, if it's brown flush it down" Makes sense as they are on rainwater with limtied capacity in water and sewerage treatment. So if you don't like the idea of this don't stay. Aircons are set at 23 degs and no controller left in the room so you can switch it on and off at the wall plug. Wall fan and ceiling fans are provided for breeze which was all I needed. Simple amenities keetle, toaster, plates and cutlery which you need to wash/dry before you leave. Shower are hot but keep them short as requested. There are additional charges for kids and pets plus cleaning charge for pets. Check booking information. With the recent erratic weather the area has received the ants were on the move but owners provided bug spray and problem was solved. Road traffic noise was minimal and no noise from other rooms. The only downside.... The bed would not be considered a firm bed but the carpet was softer. Other than that it's very quiet and away from everything but you still get phone service. "
