"Excellent in every way"

"This hotel is very new. We had a pleasant stay for our one night visit to Pittsburgh. The bed was very comfortable and the property was quiet and well-maintained. The staff was helpful and courteous. There was a continental breakfast included. The location was close to restaurants and a movie theater in walking distance. There is a great fitness center and indoor pool included. We will return here during future Pittsburgh visits."

"Faucet handle came off with first use. Tried putting it back on. Water would not stop running, called staff and they couldn’t fix it so they just turned the water off to the faucet and was told to use the water out of the tub to wash hands. AC did not work. Hotel seemed to be rundown. No microwave or no mini fridge in the room. Highly do not recommend."

"Hotel was ideal for my needs although room 301 had a bit too much road noise for my liking. Valet parking was good but is totally unnecessary as the parking lot is just at the entrance and added 40 USD including tips to the overnight stay."

"The room and staff were excellent. Our only complaint was that we are night owls. The casino is open 24/7 but bars adn restaurants all close early. there needs to be a 24 hour place for food and drink"

"Boggs Mansion was excellent! I was getting married so I stayed here the night before and the the night of my wedding and the staff was amazing!! He even was so kind to upgrade my room to a larger one so we could all get ready without any upcharge! They were so kind and willing to help with everything, made us feel so welcomed! The atmosphere of the mansion was so great I loved it!"

"This is the first time I have made a negative report about any hotel-- stay somewhere else. The property is a rehabbed luxury home from the late 1800s or early 1900s--probably the home of a Pittsburgh robber baron. There is no staff. We arrived about 2:00 P.M. and found an individual working in the restaurant kitchen who was able to get us to our room. The room was unique and only 34 stairs up a very old and steep staircase. "To be fair, I had an injured leg and was staying due to my house renovation. This was extremely perfumed to the point that my clothes smelled after only a couple hours. If you don’t like strong smells…. Don’t go here. It is very dark. Little lighting , It is creepy to me. The toilet was very low and bathroom very tiny. I had to pull off my brace to stand up. "Its hotel is very beautiful, has great restaurants around. It is right off of the Riverwalk and the staff is wonderful. The hotel pool is very small and I don’t think there was a hot tub. "We had a very good experience at the Homewood Suites property in Pittsburgh. The property is in the Strip District, which offers a lot in the way of restaurants and shopping. We usually walk to most activities. We normally stay closer to Market Square. This hotel was a little further from the places we normally go, so be aware of the location. However, we would definitely stay there again. The staff went over and above in all of our interactions with them. This is an excellent choice when...

"Nice hotel."

"The room was clean and seemed well maintained. Noise of the traffic nearby was extremely loud at night. Breakfast was good and the staff maintaining it was excellent. Parking was a little difficult. We returned around 10 PM and got lucky in finding a spot to park. Others were pretty much making parking out of areas that weren't really spots. For $27 a night, I shouldn't get a spot by luck. Overall though the hotel was clean, staff friendly, breakfast good, and very convenient with location."
