"There is no filter in the pool and a bit dirty, it’s a very small jacuzzy is quite small not running properly.. there’s No shuttle as advertised. Beautiful beach but garbage everywhere.. However, all the staffs are excellent, very attentive and great !!"

"The hotel was shock to me! Hotel is really basic and example aircondition didn't work. Restaurant was lousy and breakfast poor. I saw only 3 other guest there but don't wonder why. Hopefully first and last time there!"

"I absolutely enjoyed my stay at La Madrague! I had a sea view room, which was amazing as I went to sleep and woke up to the sounds of the ocean. The hotel itself is right on the beach, which is great as you have the choice of their pool and the earth natural pool. My room was comfortable and airy; and the staff were all incredibly helpful and friendly. I’ll be back in Dakar soon and I’ll stay at this hotel again for sure. "

"This hotels heyday was easily 10 years ago. Things are broken. There was no warm/hot water. It was dark. The pool was not swimmable, etc. We stayed one night and then left for a different hotel. The location and access to the beach was great and the breakfast was delicious. "

"I really enjoyed my stay mostly because of the view from the rooom,great food and very friendly staff. The layout of the hotel doesn't make you feel crowded. You can take a boat to Gore Island ,which 5 min away where there are other restaurants on the sea and a cleaner beach. The airport I 10 min away, so no time lost in traffic. Though the beach water is dirty,I wouldn't swimsuit many others did. Go to the island for a swim"
