"Ridge Sierra apart/hotel was exactly as described. It's an apartment operated like a hotel. Located on the back side of Tahoe, it doesn't offer lake views, but the sweeping valley view was impressive. It was a perfect fit for our group of six and the 11:00 a.m. checkout gave us plenty of time for a leisurely morning and breakfast with our four teens. There are a few quirks worth mentioning. "Loved our stay here. It was very peaceful and the reception staff were very friendly. They were great with communication and instructions. We got to our cottage after hours and it was a smooth check-in with the instructions emailed to us. The cottage is very comfy and spacious.It was about a 10 min drive to everything like downtown Truckee and it said 15/20 min to Palisades Tahoe but felt like less. "
