"The property is maintained fairly well. I am very selective on where I will sleep. I don’t care where I am, I refuse to stay in anything sketchy or that has the slightest appearance of being chronically unkept. I will note that the hallway was extremely humid, however my room was cool. I do think the humidity contributed to the fact that the pull out couch appeared to have mildew and mold on it when pulled out. Because I was not going to be using it I didn’t fuss. Everything else in the room was up to my standards. Anna, one of the women tasked with cleaning the rooms, was amazing. She was genuinely one of the reasons that I will make this facility my go to when I visit my nephew at LSU. She is a sweetheart and a true asset to the staff at this location. The other guests were respectful as well. There was little to no noise at night and daytime noise did not effect sleeping in!
Breakfast was actually pretty good. There were decent options and plenty available. Hot/cold cereal, grits, sausage gravy, biscuits, sausage, toast, yogurt, OJ, apple juice, cranberry, fountain soda.
Parking is ok. If you arrive later in the day you may have to park towards the back of the lot but it is well lit and maintained. If you’re looking for a comfortable, clean, and convenient location I would recommend this specific LaQuinta!"
