"Overall the resort was great! I didn’t know that the resort had just reopened, so there were extremely unexpected delays with checkin and items needed in the room, i.e. an iron and ironing board. Fire alarm was going off sporadically and it was loud! I was upgraded to a swim out and although it was nice, the pool was not clean at all. The food was great and the staff was as helpful as they could be I guess, but very jovial and pleasant. I’m sure when they are back up 100% it will be amazing and more timely with less delays. Although there were some cons, I still recommend staying here."

"I enjoyed my stay at Azul. The property was beautiful, the staff was fantastic and the food was great. The furniture in the room and certain places were a bit dated but outside of that, everything was fine. The seven mile beach was incredible and they put on a good show at nice, There is a club with a DJ that starts at 11pm and ends around 1. All in all, I had a great time and would visit again."

"Overall excellent low-key resort with lots of great free activities (sailing, waterskiing, catamaran cruise, snorkeling, diving, bonfire on beach, daily option to go to couples swept-away) and a beautiful beach with plenty of seating. The food at the a la carte restaurants was excellent but the buffet restaurant was just OK and was a little too hot at times. The drinks at the bars were very inconsistent in quality so we tried to stay with the same bartenders where possible. The property was always clean and well-maintained. Our "beachfront" room had a diagonal view of the water which was ok but some of the lower rooms had very limited views. Air conditioning in the rooms was excellent. Our only complaint was a noisy spa pump in the au natural area that we could hear from our balcony as well as the occasional au natural guest walking through our building (#9). The staff were all amazing (super friendly, helpful and fun)."
