"We booked a weekend stay for our babymoon, it was such a beautiful weekend and all the staff, especially in the restaurant, were so kind. The floors in our room were a little dirty but other than that we had no problems with our stay"

"We stayed here late at night while passing through and booked 3 rooms for our group. All we needed was a decent place to sleep before continuing our drive in the morning, but unfortunately the experience was very disappointing. As soon as we opened the room door, we noticed the suite door did not close properly. There were visible gaps around the door and the deadbolt would not latch securely. The room also had a smoky, musty smell upon entering, although it appeared clean at first...

"The room we stayed in was old and run down. The doors to all the rooms slam so hard they can be heard all night. No fault of the hotel but there is a night club across the street that was so loud the music on till 3 am with people yelling and car racing up the street…. Was a sleepless night so we actually checked out at 4am and when we went to our car a couple druggies were at the back door all strung out. Will never return"

"Room a bit smelly! Had to sleep with the window opened. Breakfast is quite controlled. Front desk will issue a voucher early in the morning and there 1-2 guys custodian who enters the room. No eggs, but everything else was there. Good oatmeal!"

"Very nice property with very responsive and helpful staff. Good laundry machine and dryer aswell as cooking stuff if you want to be doing that. i enjoyed my stay. "

"Good news first- The food and the restaurant were good. The bartender- she was very good. The front desk guy looked overwhelmed and did the best he could. He gets a thumbs up. Hot tub nice and big. Bad- the area outside- sketchy- although the hotel had the foresight to hire a security guard- saw deals going down just outside his view in the parking lot. Found a bug in my room. Sheets were clean but obviously reused- wine stains. Sticky food residue on carpet beside the bed. Thermostat did not...

"This hotel is well located on Lake Superior across from the Sleeping Giant. The rooms and the dining room offer a beautiful view of the lake and harbour. Also, it's close to the downtown area, which is a short walk away. I enjoy this hotel whenever I'm on Thunder Bay."
