"Towne hotel is located in an older, historic building in downtown Nassau. Its located only a block off of Bay Street, and is in easy walking distance of LOTS of local souvenir shopping and sights (as well as a couple of bodega-type stores. Yes, the building is old (its historic, after all) and the decor is somewhat dated. Even so, it's a very unique space full of lots of character and is loaded with lots of original (local?) artwork throughout public spaces and the rooms. There is also a (currently) 58 year old blue macaw, Max (who may or may not choose to be temperamental)."
"Nice, quiet location on top of rocky hill and just across a nice beach. Beautiful views and the food is great (Indian). Nice rooms too. Not suitable for people that can’t walk stairs. Our shower wasn’t working great but for the rest wonderful hotel for those trying to get away from the craziness of Nassau."
"Property was clean but outdated. The coffee was always full of grounds or just water. Only one bar was open at a time. The "balcony" was about 6 inches wide, the door opens but you can't "sit outside on it" Those were a couple things that were "negative". Staff was very friendly. Overall it is a very clean and safe play to stay with beautiful views of the water. "
"The property is in a very convenient location walkable to the beach and downtown property staff was exceptionally nice however for the value paid the property rooms could use to see some updates or renovations."
"Oceanfront two bedroom suite did not disappoint. The view and patio were beautiful, staff was friendly and helpful, pool was gorgeous, entire property was clean, and it was quiet. You can walk to Bahamar if you want to gamble or have a variety of 40+ restaurants but you can escape back to Goldwynn’s quiet and calm. "
"Rooms could have been cleaner. Sheets and comforters had stains. Pillows were aweful. Bag of trash in our hallway the entire stay! Staff were rude. Came over to kick my daughter off the casino floor. However she’s 20. So he could have politely asked for her ID instead of embarrassing us! "
Courtyard by Marriott Nassau Downtown/Junkanoo Beach
8/10 Good
"We had a nice room, view of the ocean, staff very welcoming and kind, food service very good; wonderful staff! pool was a bit cool, close walk to shopping area, nice beach and other beaches near by with taxi or bus ride.
"
"between buildings we could see partial ocean pools were ok staff excellent room had issues shower leaking through glass door had someone come to fix not done correctly used a lot of towels to keep floor dry so not to slip toilet flusher (float) we had to fix most of the time cable out for a couple days so no tv buffet breakfast very pricey for what they severed"
"No airport shuttle to resort as advertised but taxi cabs are abundant. The entire staff at the resort was friendly and accommodating as one should anticipate. Our suite with kitchen (located on the lagoon) was perfect for our wants and needs. Resort has loungers and comfortable hammocks located throughout the property. Access to good food choices within walking distance. (I recommend Mi & B.) Lagoon and beach was nice, and ocean with nice beach was nearby. Room itself was a bit rundown but good enough to call homey for a week! "
