I’ve stayed at this hotel three times recently, and until my most recent visit (April 13–14), my experiences were consistently positive. I enjoyed the breakfast buffet, complimentary happy hour with drinks, and convenient parking, which is why this stay stood out.
For each visit, I requested a first-floor room near an exit close to the parking lot, and those requests were previously accommodated. For this stay, I booked in advance and made the same request, but it was not honored. I was placed on the third floor, in the last room down the hall, far from the elevator and near stairs requiring three flights.
I also have difficulty walking long distances due to a recent injury and surgery, which made this placement especially difficult and resulted in swelling in my feet and ankles.
This was my first time requesting extra towels and washcloths in advance, and that request was also not fulfilled. At checkout, I was told no requests were visible. After review through the booking site, the requests were found and shown as denied by the property.
When I spoke with the general manager, I was told requests are not guaranteed and no solution or alternative was offered. I also made them aware I intended to leave a review.
As a returning guest, this stay felt noticeably different from my previous visits. Even when requests cannot be met, clear communication and basic accommodation matter. This experience changed my perspective on returning.
