"Dung is the man. Took care of me my whole stay. Went beyond the call of duties to make sure I had a remarkable time, sightseeing, meeting locals, great experiences that you might call once in a lifetime. However, I made a true friend, and plan to go back in a few months."

"We had the best stay at Hoang Su Phi Lodge. The location is exquisite with the most amazing views. The room looks exactly like the pictures, with crisp white bedding, new towels and great facilities. The staff is lovely, they cooked us a delicious dinner and tasty pancakes for breakfast. "Great host; Ali helped me enormously with my self drive loop. We’ve rented the bikes from him (which were great) and he helped us with all the recommended stops and the dos and donts of the trip. When we came back he was again super helpful and offered us a room (for free) for us to take a shower, etc. until our transport arrived. Strongly recommended!"

"This is a very nice hotel. I did not expect a lot because Ha Giang is not huge for tourism, and, to be honest, the room rates were not expensive. However, i was delighted to find myself in a lovely hotel, modern, clean, well-maintained. Our room was great, with double aspect windows, a good size, modern bathroom. The buffet breakfast was good with plenty of choices. The staff at reception were very helpful & spoke good English (I did not expect that!) They organised a car & driver for us the following day, so that we could see the beautiful scenery around Ha Giang. Above, all, I will always remember sitting on the lovely terrace at the back of the hotel, enjoying a cold beer! This terrace looks across a lovely river with high karst mountains on the other side. It really is a stunning setting & i am surprised that the hotel doesn't show more pictures of this in it's advertising!! It is not often that a hotel has such a tempting and lovely outlook to offer. So, if anyone reads this and is thinkjng of going to Ha Giang - definitely go there!!! It's a lovely town in a beautiful mountain & riverside setting, with a stunning surrounding area.....and i very much recommend staying at The Phoenix Hotel!!! (I don't usually write so much in a review.....but this horel & place were such a lovely surprise!!"
